The Big 26

Many may have heard me say once or twice that my husband "is so old", but I assure you I absolutely love that he was born on December 10, 1985. One because I always love myself an older man ;), and two because I am pretty much living my parents life. Note: My parents met on Halloween--David and I met the day before Halloween. My mom was 20, almost 21 when they married and my dad 25 (to be 26 in January)--I was 20, soon to be 21 when I got married and David was 25, and now is 26. Come on if that is not crazy enough I don't know what is! I love following in my mom's footsteps.
Now back to David. I feel so privileged to be spending his first birthday since we got married together! He is absolutely incredible and we are truly "A Perfect Fit" (our wedding theme). I have never been more happy in my life than I am being married to this man. We have so many memories together including laughing, debating, crying (on my part), talking, and so many more to come. I love this man with all my heart and am so excited for his 27th year!! :)
To start off his day we opened some presents!
of course he would be wearing that shirt for birthday pictures.

Then I made a special breakfast and we had his little brother come over to partake of its goodness!
pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. Boys' favorite

And then it was off to participate in the annual (annual meaning we did it last year for his birthday when we were dating) snowboarding trip! We all bought season passes, so naturally we would begin our use of them on David's big day! We were all so excited, minus the fact that there was hardly any snow and my toes froze to whiteness, but it was a blast!
Festivities ended with a dinner with a bunch of David's friends and family and then the oh so addicting game of Scum at our place. Let me just say that it was a day to remember and I am so glad that I got to celebrate it with my incredible husband!
