It's a Man's World

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!
eta: July 20, 2015

That's right, we are going to add another little BOY to our family! I am really going to be outnumbered now, and I don't think David or Anderson mind one bit! Of course we are not quite sure how much Anders actually comprehends but we told him he was going to have a baby brother and he got the biggest smile and said "yahhhhhh" and started kicking and running all over the place.  And now he says "brobbber" and just gets so happy, it's basically the cutest.  Have I mentioned that anytime you ask him where the baby is he goes straight to my tummy and gives it a kiss.  He loves cuddling on my tummy and I melt over it every time.
David is darn happy he doesn't have to buy girl clothes just yet, which I suppose makes sense (we better have to buy girl clothes at some point!), but we are both so so happy to have two little boys 23 months apart.  They are going to grow up being little buddies and I cannot wait to watch it happen.

The ultrasound went perfectly, everything in little man's body is perfect, he was being a little shy with his legs crossed the entire time, so it wasn't until the end when we finally figured out he is a he, thank goodness he cooperated.  I am over the moon.  I was not surprised at all to find out it's a boy, but I am so extremely happy.

In other news Anderson is 18 months old! He seriously is the light of our lives.  He is so flipping smart, I know I know I am biased as his mother, but really, he is.  He knows all the sounds of every letter in the alphabet, points them out wherever we go, communicates so so well, it has saved me tons of stress not having to guess what he wants or his trying to say, because he just tells you rather than throwing fits.  He is such a little helper and is always putting things away and cleaning up.  Of course he is in a destructive phase as every little toddler boys goes through, but he is so sweet.  He still loves to cuddle, loves his blankies and his animals, specifically his elephant and turtle.  Still only has 4 teeth, how the kid manages to eat like he does is beyond me, but he is certainly an eater which is fine by me since I eat basically all day long.

He is getting such a little personality and is so darn funny, so opinionated, and so sweet.  He loves timeout. When he is being naughty he puts himself right on the stairs until he decides to say sorry or clean up his mess.  Often times you tell him if he doesn't clean up he has to go back to timeout, he thinks for a sec, then decides against cleaning and goes and sits on the stairs.  Of course.  Eventually he always says sorry and cleans up what he did, but yeah...we really have to figure out how to make timeout less desirable.

His first week at nursery was a little rough, he was going on lack of sleep of course and just wanted mommy, but he lasted an hour until I checked on him and of course then he lost it.  We will try again.  I really could go on and on about all the adorable things the does but I will spare you.  He just is my favorite and I am going to enjoy every minute with him as my only child, and then the love will grow and I cannot wait!

Here's to BOYS!

  1. You are definitely outnumbered! I didn't even think about that. So exciting Anderson is going to have a brother!
