First camping trip of the season! Hopefully we will get at least 1 or 2 more times in before baby girl decides to arrive, or it gets too hot and buggy. That was the main reason for going this early, avoid the bugs and heat. Mission accomplished! We ended up going with just our little family and I was pleasantly surprised. It was quiet, relaxing, so nice to get away, and I think the boys had a great time. We really do love camping. Everyone seems happier.
My favorite was watching the boys learn how to shoot the little youth bow and arrow we got Anderson. He caught on real quick and it was the cutest thing to see. Prepare for a whole lot of picture overload, but I can only post so many pics to my instagram feed ;) It was a perfect and much needed weekend with the family.
Of course Anderson had to teach me how to do it properly
Sterling was obsessed with the fire. He would go and turn different parts of his head towards it to warm up. And I caught him warming his hands in the morning. That boy gets me every time I see his little face.
It ain't camping without some fire roasted hot dogs
And candy by the campfire
Anderson's highlight was probably finally getting to bandage someone up that was actually bleeding. Thanks dad for indulging him!
Before we drove home we went to find the tire swing. It didn't disappoint either. He was one happy boy.
Until the next camping trip!
