"Special Lessons"

"For reasons usually unknown, some people are born with physical limitations...nevertheless, the gift of a physical body is priceless...a perfect body is not required to achieve a divine destiny.  In fact, some of the sweetest spirits are housed in frail frames...eventually the time will come when each 'spirit and...body shall be reunited again...in perfect form; both limb and joint shall be restored to its proper frame' (Alma 11:43), Then thanks to the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can become perfected in Him."
-"Special Lessons" by Elder Ronald A. Rashband- LDS General Conference April 2012

I recently started my internship for school at a pediatric physical therapy office called Now I Can.  I have only been there for two weeks and yet it has changed my life.  I have grown attached to these kids and watch them grow and improve every day.  It breaks your heart to see them come in, but when you see the determination in their eyes and the effort that they put forth every day it is incredible.  They work so hard, they do not complain, and when they accomplish something, the smile on their faces is unforgettable.

I have been so humbled by these kids and this organization.  I love that I can learn so much and have such  a hands on experience with the children and aiding the therapists.  The Now I Can Foundation is an amazing place and I am so proud to be working there.  What we do for these children changes lives, and I want everyone that may know of a child that is in need of therapy, to know about Now I Can because it makes a difference.

Here is a video to see some of the transformations these children have made from 2010.
Now I Can is hosting a 5k run/1 mile walk on Saturday morning in Provo.  Its not too late to come and support this amazing foundation! visit Here if you want to sign up or find out more!
