Don't get me wrong, I definitely don't need to get away from my baby, but when the opportunity arises, it is quite nice to get a little time with just the husband, even if it is just a couple hours.
My sister was kind enough to watch Anderson (thanks Anna!) while David and I grabbed dinner and then came back, changed quickly, and ran off to play tennis with some friends. Man was it fun! And I didn't call/text our trusty babysitter once about how Anders was doing. Yes we may have been only gone 45 minutes for dinner, then saw him again, then left for a whopping 60 minutes, but hey, it's progress right?
And playing tennis made me fall more in love with David. Yes it sounds corny but it was so fun just having fun. Pure amusement watching him hit that yellow ball as hard as he could knowing that he "can't aim", "can't see" (contacts are not the best for him), and has no control over his actions. He may or may not have come extremely close to nailing our sweet friend's pregnant belly once or twice. SORRY ALI! He really was not intentionally going for your posterity. But it was just fun. It reminded me of when we were back in Provo just getting to know eachother. I still get a kick out of goofing around with my man. And I still learn something new about him all the time.
Dates are fun. Dates with your husband away from you baby are sometimes necessary. It's nice knowing that he will be fine and safe in the care of his Auntie Anna. I love that I have family so close that loves to see Anderson as much as I do.
I am lucky to be so in love. And I plan on staying this way forever.

Amen to it all! Family time is so great, but so are dates :) and again, we had so much fun!! Let's do that again soon.
