Newport Vaca

Prepare yourselves for a picture overload.  I am not ashamed.  Our little family vacation to Newport was incredible.  My parents are the best and rented a house a street away from the beach and David got off work, as did my sister.  So we all flew out there to spend it with my parents and my brother, sister in law, and their adorable 16 month old boy for a 5 day getaway in paradise.  And that's exactly what it was.

Highlights:

-Anderson discovering how much fun sand is.

He loves Grandpa
-He also had his first experience swimming! Thanks to the incredible Pugmire's (sister in law's parents).

-The growing relationship with his cousin.  Ok they are the absolute cutest together.  Carter is so gentle and sweet with Anders, and Anders is just entranced by Carter.  Cannot wait for them to get older and play even more together.

-DISNEYLAND! The magical land.  And yes it was magical.  Anderson was incredible.  Napped when he was tired in his stroller, and in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in my arms, (I died from the cuteness), and was happy and awake the rest of the time.  Seriously he was an angel! I couldn't have asked for a better buddy.  He also went on the carousel ride and David and I probably enjoyed it more than he, he just sat back loungin.  We spent 12 hours in that magical land and I wouldn't have had it any other way.  A big thanks to my mother who offered to watch the babes whenever we wanted to go on a ride.  She is a life saver!

-Balboa Island Bike Ride.  This was so great.  Such a long day but so relaxing and fun.  We all rented bikes and took a ferry to Balboa Island and just biked around the houses, to Hippo Cookies, to the Wedge.  It was great.  Best thing...Anderson fell asleep while on the bike. Yes while I was riding the bike and he was sitting in the little front carrier.  His head started to bob, he was exhausted, and so I placed my hand on his head so he could lean on it and he was out like a light.  It was probably the funniest thing you ever did see, and the most adorable.  He was in and out the entire trip and I was riding along one handed.  It was a sight to see.  But it was oh so fun.

So glad Rebbie could join us for the day!

-Eating at lovely local restaraunts. YUM!
-Taking morning, afternoon, and evening walks along the beach.
Grandma is the greatest

I just love my little ball of energy of a nephew
-Spending some time with my hubs

-And of course spending so much time with my incredible family.  It was the best catching up, laughing, girl talk, and enjoying every moment together.

My parents are the best with Anderson and he adores them.  This trip was not possible without them and we cannot thank them enough.  It was so much fun! We aboslutely loved every minute and miss it already. Cannot wait for the next adventure!
