Raising a Boy

Basically raising a little boy is so much fun.  They are just built differently.  I didn't realize how natural it was for them to be drawn to trucks, and dirt, and rocks, and construction.  And currently my backyard is just that.  It's little boy heaven.  Anderson constantly carries his shoes or jacket or simply his naked self to the door to go out walking.  And when I attempt to take him to the park he books it the other way towards the construction zone and the gravel.  He picks up every rock in sight and just carries it a little ways until he finds another.  Wood chips, dirt, rocks, and pools of water on the sidewalk are his best friends. 

can't forget how little boys can sleep anywhere right? ok i don't know if that's a boy trait but it sure is an Anderson trait, and i love it!

Low deep sounds or screams are a common thing around our house.  Big long "oooooo"s with pointing happens with every new attraction.  And dirtyness is just a-okay!! I love raising a boy and it gets more and more entertaining and fun as the days, months, and I am sure years pass.  His 1 year birthday in 2 weeks is going to be the best!
